My brush with fatal accident(Lessons from a car Crash)

--

We pray to the Almighty for a safe journey for all. He is great & we need his utmost support.

Dear friends, I am going to a very fearful car accident memories. I was in the central part of Indore for my MBA preparation classes at Devi Ahilya University Indore in the year 2000. I was attending 3 days of evening & full Sunday classes in MBA.

I was staying in my company’s guest house which was in a very prime location of Indore. Our Cook was giving delicious food. Moreover, I was staying with my family & children.

They were enjoying their purchasing at the time. In the evening, we were going in a special market which is only for foodies. All superfoods were available which were mouth-watering.

I loved this market since 1992 when I got a job in Indore Textile spinning company. I was going with my kids. One DAHI BHALLA, Bhutte ka kiss was a special thing. My son was around 4 years who was amused to see the stylish throw of a shopkeeper above 6 feet from his seat.

Then he poured 4 types of Masalas with two fingers only one by one. All were surprised at how he could do this. The Best memories of those years.

Finally, on a fateful day, there was a narrow escape. I started my journey to my factory about 90 kilometers. I started around 1 pm after taking lunch. After about 75 km from Indore, I felt that something was carrying the car on the driver’s side. All of the feelings came that driver side tyre has got punctured.

I tried to cut on the other side to balance the vehicle. But now an unimagined thing happened. The car was overturned means upside down. The car was running on the roof & bonnet. I was thinking in hung mode about how our car would be stopped without brakes. One kid and 2 more friends were travelling with me.

All were shocked & suddenly I heard the child crying. I just thought that one kid was alive & I was also in seat belt-hanging mode with a semi-conscious state of mind. Then I saw my co-driver who was in shocked mode but recovered. The backseat traveller also found it ok.

The car was shattered to the worst level. But with the grace of GOD, all were ok. I just thanked My GOD, GURU for giving us new life. I was still hanging till all the other vehicles stopped & they broke the front & side glasses to bring us out.

We all walked one by one & saw that nobody was hurt. God is great my friends. No words for his gratitude. Everyone saw the vehicle & told that some miraculous power (God) had only saved us.

The accident place was told as the worst point of the last 10 years. All fatal accidents gave maximum casualties. I had a peculiar fear of that place for 3–4 months in that area having bad accident memories of that place.

As we recount this miraculous escape, let us remain steadfast in our belief in the Almighty’s protection and embrace a mindset of cautious optimism on life’s journey.”

Here are some key takeaways from that experience that I want to share with you:

  • Be Alert: Pay close attention to the road and any changes in your vehicle’s handling.
  • A seat belt is a must:
  • Maintain Your Car: Regularly check tire pressure and overall condition. Wheel alignment is also important.
  • Drive at Safe Speeds: Especially on curves, slow down and prioritize safety.
  • Don’t Ignore Fatigue: Pull over and rest if you feel tired or drowsy.
  • Take Breaks: Stretch your legs, grab a snack, and refresh yourself during long journeys.
  • Trust Your Intuition: If something feels off, stop the car and address the issue.

By following these tips and driving defensively, we can all minimize risks and create safer journeys for ourselves and others.

Remember, a few moments of caution can prevent a lifetime of regret.
